  • Retirement choice of Maine

The Nursing faculty responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Teaching and supervision of students
    in the didactic, lab, and clinical settings
  • Student advising
  • Maintaining scheduled availability to students
  • Participation in the program’s ongoing curriculum development and academic policies.
  • Involvement with ACEN accreditation.
  • Participating with other faculty in developing and managing courses
  • Participation in campus initiatives such as accreditation
    and institutional assessment are expected
  • Schedule may include teaching day, evening, weekend, and online classes


  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Active, unencumbered RN License in the State
    of Maine or Compact State.
  • Current knowledge of nursing practice and/or health care.
  • Two years of recent clinical
  • Possess a current driver’s license.
  • Meet clinical facility immunization requirements.


  • A minimum of one year of teaching experience, preferably at the college level
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health and/or maternity nursing
  • Simulation experience

Knowledge, Skills,
and Abilities:

  • Expertise and knowledge of current nursing specialty areas
  • Experience with simulation and
    computer assisted instruction
  • Ability to plan and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge of
    computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate effectively with individuals
  • Excellent
    communication and presentation skills are a must
